Everything people ask
What dryer vent services do you offer?
We clean dryer vents, inspect and test airflow, repair and replace ducts and hoods, install and reroute vents, clean HVAC air ducts, serve apartments and businesses, and offer maintenance plans. Every service has its own page with details, steps and answers.
How do I get a price?
Fill in the form on any page, or call or text 800-313-8481. Tell us about the dryer, how long the vent run is and where it exits, and send a photo of the vent hood if you can. We reply with a written price.
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
At least once a year is the usual starting point. Large households, pets and long runs with many bends may need it every six months. Our Cleaning Schedule tool gives a suggestion for your home.
How do I know my dryer vent is clogged?
Clothes that are damp after a full cycle, a dryer that is hot to the touch, a hot or humid laundry room, a burning smell, lint around the vent hood and a flap that barely opens are the common signs.
How long does a cleaning take?
Many standard jobs take about an hour. A long run, a roof exit, a heavy clog or a multifamily building takes longer. We tell you what to expect before we start.
Do you clean HVAC air ducts too?
Yes. We clean whole-home air ducts, registers, returns and air handlers, and we inspect first so you only pay for what the system needs. We do not repair heating and cooling equipment.
Is it safe to keep using a dryer with a clogged vent?
If the vent is badly blocked or you smell burning, stop using the dryer and unplug it until the vent is cleared. A restricted vent holds heat in and makes the dryer work harder.
Can I clean my dryer vent myself?
You can clean the lint screen and the trap slot often, and a short, straight vent can be cleaned with a brush kit. Long, bent, roof and hidden runs, gas dryers and vents that have not been cleaned in years are better left to us.
How long can a dryer vent be?
A common code planning figure is about 35 feet, reduced for each bend, but your dryer manual and local code decide. Our Vent Run Builder lets you draw your route and see the effective length.
Do you work on gas dryers?
Yes, we clean and check the vent. We do not work on gas lines or gas connections; those belong to your gas provider or a qualified plumber.
Do you take care of apartments and businesses?
Yes. We plan the work building by building, send resident notices, clean and photograph each vent and set up repeat schedules for apartments, laundromats, hotels and shared housing.
Will you move my dryer?
We pull the dryer out, disconnect the duct and put everything back, protecting your floor. Moving a dryer to another room or up stairs is a separate job that we can help plan.
Will I get photos of the work?
Yes, on request. We photograph the vent and the hood before and after, so you can see what came out and how it looks now.
Where do you work?
We serve homes and businesses in cities across the country, and every city has its own page under Service Areas. If your address is not listed, call or text 800-313-8481 and we will tell you what is possible.
